OHV & 4x4 Adventures
The off-road capital of the world
Off-Roading in Moab
Moab is widely considered the off-road capital of the world, and for good reason. The area's slickrock terrain, dramatic canyon roads, and miles of backcountry trails offer some of the most thrilling 4x4 experiences anywhere on Earth. From casual dirt road exploring to extreme rock crawling, there's a trail for every skill level and vehicle type.
The iconic trails here are legendary in the off-road community. Hell's Revenge challenges drivers with steep slickrock climbs and optional obstacles that test both skill and nerve. Fins & Things offers a roller-coaster ride over sandstone fins with stunning views. Poison Spider Mesa combines technical rock crawling with dramatic exposure above the Colorado River. And Chicken Corners delivers one of the most scenic shelf roads in the Southwest — a narrow ledge trail with 1,000-foot drops to the Colorado River.
Don't have your own 4x4? No problem — Moab has numerous Jeep and UTV rental companies offering everything from stock Wranglers to built rock crawlers. Guided tours are available for those who want an expert behind the wheel, and several outfitters offer ATV and side-by-side tours for a different kind of adventure. The annual Easter Jeep Safari draws thousands of off-road enthusiasts for a week of organized trail runs every spring.
