About This Event
The Skinny Tire Fall Festival, formerly known as the Moab Century Tour, is a 3-day road cycling event that takes riders through some of the most spectacular scenery in the American West. The festival expanded from the original one-day century ride into a multi-day experience showcasing the full range of Moab's geographical beauty.
Day one features a challenging ride to La Sal Mountain Lookout via The Big Nasty, a notorious climb with 3,000 feet of elevation gain. Day two offers a recovery ride along the Colorado River. The final day takes riders up Highway 313 atop the mesa and into Dead Horse Point State Park, with its iconic overlook of the Colorado River 2,000 feet below.
Like its spring counterpart, the Fall Festival donates $25 from each registration to the Moab Cancer Treatment Center. The September timing provides warm but manageable temperatures and the beginning of fall color in the La Sal Mountains.
