About This Event
The Moab Music Festival is a nationally recognized classical and chamber music festival that has been bringing world-class musicians to the red rock country of southeastern Utah since 1993. Now in its 34th year, the festival runs for over two weeks in September, presenting concerts that span classical, jazz, Latin, and other genres in a variety of intimate and dramatic venues.
The festival's signature performances take place at Red Cliffs Lodge along the Colorado River, where a concert tent is set up on the lawn overlooking the water with towering red rock walls as a backdrop. Additional concerts are held at the historic Star Hall in downtown Moab.
Under the artistic direction of cellist Michael Barrett, the festival also includes educational outreach programs. The Moab Music Festival has become one of the defining cultural institutions of the region and draws audiences from across the country. Tickets go on sale April 6 and popular concerts sell out quickly.
