Moab 240 Endurance Run 2026

The Moab 240 is one of the most audacious footraces on the planet: a single 240.3-mile loop that links the slickrock canyons and mesas surrounding Moab with the high country of the Abajo and La Sal mountains, climbing to elevations over 10,000 feet. Runners have around 112 hours to finish, racing day and night through some of Utah's wildest and most remote terrain.

The race gained international fame when Courtney Dauwalter won it outright in 2017, and it now draws elite ultrarunners and adventurous amateurs from around the world. Entries sell out quickly every year despite the demanding qualification and lottery process.

For visitors, the start and finish in Moab are the best places to soak up the atmosphere — the finish line stays active for days as runners trickle in at all hours. October also brings cooler temperatures and thinner crowds, making race week a great time to explore the parks while the drama unfolds on the course.
