Canyonlands Half Marathon & 5 Miler 2026

The Canyonlands Half Marathon is widely regarded as one of the most beautiful road races in the United States. The point-to-point course begins north of Moab along Highway 191 and finishes near the banks of the Colorado River, offering runners a gradual net downhill through a corridor of towering red rock formations and sweeping desert vistas.

Organized by Mad Moose Events, the race attracts up to 5,000 runners on a first-come, first-served basis and regularly sells out. The event has earned a devoted following among runners who return year after year for the unique combination of fast times and stunning scenery.

Race weekend includes packet pickup on Friday, the race on Saturday morning, and a post-race celebration. The March timing offers cool but pleasant desert temperatures ideal for distance running.
