Moab Area Scenic Drives

There is a lot of amazing scenery around the Moab area. You can visit two National Parks, a State Park and miles of BLM Land all within an hours drive of downtown Moab.

You can see classic western desert landscapes, high alpine mountains and the mighty Colorado River from the comfort of your car. Pick a drive that fits your schedule, pack a lunch and do some exploring!

Arches National Park

Arches National Park has one paved road that bisects the park. This drive has many stop/view areas and is the road to most of the Arches hikes.

Needles Overlook

The Needles Overlook is one of the most impressive views anywhere in the US. You can spend a lot of time here just gazing at the intricate land formations that make up Canyonlands.

Dead Horse Point

Dead Horse Point offers sweeping views of the Colorado River as it cuts through the red rock canyons. This is an excellent family adventure!

La Sal Loop Road

The mountain range to the east of Moab is the La Sal’s. What better way to experience the wide variety of Moab terrain than to take a drive through it?
